Kat Von D: London Calling Fearless Favourites Limited Edition Set – Review & Swatches

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Debenhams to tell me that the Kat Von D make-up range was launching on the 13th of September & that I could buy the London Calling Limited Edition set now!

I immediately logged on to Debenhams online and managed to get hold of one of the limited edition sets.

I have never used any make-up by Kat Von D and could not wait to try them. I have heard such great things about the brand from many many beauty bloggers and I am a massive fan of Kat Von D having followed her career since Miami Ink & LA Ink – love her. 

We are a similar age and I have always loved her make-up looks. Her make-up brand is animal cruelty free & vegan which is fantastic. The more I learn about the cosmetic industry the more I want to only buy ethical products so I cannot wait until I can get my hands on more when this launches in Debenhams on the 13th of September!

Now onto the wonderful London Calling Fearless Favourites set. I loved the matte black box with the signature Kat Von D style. Inside the three mini products were wrapped in black tissue paper.

Studded Kiss Lipstick: Lolita

Firstly just how cute is this mini lipstick! I love the studded plastic packaging. It feels really nice and looks stunning. The lipstick has a mouth watering creamy sweet creme brulee scent which fades on application. 

The Studded Lipstick range have bold pigment, are long wearing and contain colour cushion technology – which means it is non-drying and comfortable to wear.

The Lolita shade is described as a chestnut rose colour and is the biggest selling shade in the US. I can see why.

This lipstick is a joy to apply as it just glides on the lips as it is so creamy and packs an opaque punch of colour in just one swipe. This has a satin finish and feels really comfortable on the lips. 

I absolutely love the colour , it is a beautiful rosey mauve colour with a hint of brown and will suit any skin tone. It lasted well and survived eating and drinking with just some minor touch ups. Love it.

Tattoo Liner: Trooper

I have to admit that when it comes to eyeliner I am an absolute failure. I try my hardest to achieve the perfect winged liner but it always ends in misery. Of the liquid liners I have tried I have found the formulas to be too watery and the liner will run into the tiny fine lines on my lid creating a mess! 

As a result of my previous negative liner experiences I was rather apprehensive about trying this out. Oh how wrong I was! I can see why this Tattoo Liner is the original best-seller from the range. It is incredible! 

The ultra-precise brush tip contains over 300 tiny bristles which allows for maximum control and to achieve delicate fine line detail. Even for a novice like me like liner is fool-proof. 

Now I know the above winged liner is not the best but for me this is my best attempt ever! The liner formula did not budge and doesn’t run into the tiny lines on my lid. The brush tip is incredible for creating a precise look and the liner itself dries down to a satin, almost patent leather finish. Perfect. 

Everlasting Liquid Lipstick: Double Dare

Last but by no means least is the incredible Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the beautiful shade Double Dare.

I have tried several liquid lipsticks from other brands and I tend to find them very drying and fiddly to apply. 

The Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are different. The formula is so so light and glides on to the lips like water. They set down to a beautiful matte finish quickly and last a very very long time! 

I wore this at my friends wedding at the weekend and it survived for over 10 hours. It stod up well to all the drinking & eating and I didn’t need to touch it up as it gradually faded evenly and was still going strong when I removed my make-up before bed!

The shade Double Dare is a stunning cocoa blush shade which I absolutely love. 

I cannot wait to try more from the range when it launches in a couple of weeks. So excited.
