Birchbox – November 2016: The Unveiling

This months Birchbox is curated in collaboration with Tatler and comes in a stunning peacock themed box.

Blues and greens are my favourite colours so this box design really appeals to me. I have however decided to cancel my Birchbox subscription for a while. I have been getting a few sample repeats and I think it’s time for a break – plus to save a few pennies now I’m a student!

So what did I get in this months box?

First up I got a few skincare treats!

Darphin – Lumiere Essentielle Serum (sample size, full size RRP £55)

I am a huge fan of Darphin skincare products and this is an exclusive sample which isn’t available to purchase until the end of January!

I love the look of the serum in the tube – I love how the oil bubbles are suspended in the serum and these just burst onto the skin giving it a hydration boost. I know I am going to enjoy using this serum.

Marcelle – BB Cream Golden Glow Illuminator (sample size, full size £25.50)

This is like a highlighter/BB cream/primer all in one. I have been using this as a primer with great results. This definitely gives your skin a radiance boost with such a beautiful glow. I’m not sure if it worth the hefty price tag for the full size mind!

Nuxe – Crème Prodigieuse (sample size, full size RRP £21)

I love a good radiance boosting moisturiser and thus promises to pack a punch. Nuxe is also a great brand so I’m sure I will love this.

ecoTOOLS – Precision Blush Brush (full size RRP £7.99)

I have seen these make up brushes in Boots and Superdrug but had never taken the plunge to try one.

My first impressions of this brush is very positive. The brush is crafted from synthetic bristles and recycled materials, the super-soft finish works perfectly with all blush formulas. A great addition to my make up brush collection!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics – Lip Tar Primer (sample size, full size £15)

This product really intrigues me. Do we really need a lipstick primer?! I have tried this once and my lipstick certainly looked more even but I don’t think it lasted any longer. This primer is packed full with vitamin e and oils to soothe and hydrate your lips so if anything it is a great nourishing treatment!

I have enjoyed this months box, however it has not swayed me to continue with my subscription. I have cancelled my subscription, but I can renew at any time. I have recently subscribed to the Love Me Beauty subscription and I much prefer this as I get to choose exactly what I want each month.

Thanks for reading. What do you think of this months Birchbox? What did you get? Let me know your thoughts as I love reading and replying to your comments.
