Weekly Round-Up: #20

Another week has flown by and that signals weekly round up time!

This week has been rather stressful. Dave started off the week with the dreaded man flu…. lots of soup was consumed and sympathy given but he pulled through and carried on going to work. As the working week was winding down I had contracted said man flu and was not feeling great, feeling sick, headache, dizziness and generally not at my best. Booo! However on Friday afternoon we finally got the news we had been waiting for over the past few months – we have exchanged contracts on our new home and will be moving on the 4th! About time!

Moving House

I cannot wait to move house as we have been waiting for so long, it has been a stressful and frustrating time as it has all been in the hands of the solicitors and out of our control.

It will of course be sad saying goodbye to Dave’s house. We have shared some great times over the past 18 months or so and this has been our first time living together.

Above is a photo outside our current home. I love Autumn and I love seeing the change in colours of the leaves but I have to admit, I won’t miss all the leaves on the ground outside our front door… They get trampled indoors and takes a lot to clear up!

On the flip side our new home is a bungalow (I am looking forward to living on one level again, I am not a fan of stairs!) with a huge garden so lots more to keep tidy….

Food

The main food themes this week have been two polar opposites of kinds; soup & sushi.

I forgot to take a photo of the various flavour soups we have been consuming by the bucket load this week. There is something so warming and comforting about soup with big hunks of bread with lashings of butter – simply delicious.

I have been craving sushi this week and have been eating it with my soup at dinner (strange combination I know!) and for lunch. Absolutely love sushi, especially the sushi rolls with avocado – delicious. Yummy.

Friends: Joshua’s 1st Birthday

On Saturday Dave and I were invited to my best friends sons 1st birthday party. We don’t have our own children yet and feel very blessed to be included in Joshua’s birthday celebrations. A fun time was had by all and it was lovely to see all the young children playing and enjoying themselves.

I hope you have enjoyed my weekly round up. How was your week? Do you have a favourite soup or sushi? I love reading and replying to your comments.
