Weekly Round-Up: #29 Christmas 2015 Edition

Can’t quite believe that Christmas has come and gone. We have been waiting all year and now all the festivities are over. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

I have been thoroughly spoiled this Christmas with some wonderfully thoughtful and generous presents including make up, skin care, jewelry, cook books and gifts for the home.

This weekly round-up is going to be slightly different, rather than breaking the post down into themes I will structure it by days – I hope you enjoy.

Christmas Eve

I was finally finished with work on Christmas Eve and not back until the 4th of January. Yay! Bring on the relaxing and celebrations.

Christmas Eve was spent chilling at home with Dave and eating lots of snack food – we cracked out the baked Camebert – delicious!

After overindulging on cheese and snacks I gave myself a much needed pamper with a face mask!

If you missed my full post check out my Christmas Eve Pamper Routine here.

Christmas Day

We had to start off the day with a truly indulgent bacon sandwich with brown sauce – scrumptious. We then made our way to Dave’s parents house with our presents to unwrap.

When we arrived these wonderfully wrapped presents greeted me from Dave’s family – how exciting!

Amongst other lovely presents which I’m sure will feature in my blog soon I received this beautiful handmade make up bag from Maggs London. Hannah Maggs is a blogger I love and I adore watching her family YouTube channel The Michalaks.

I bought David this Sphero BB8 robot from Star Wars.  It is an app-enabled robot which you control from your phone to go exploring – it is so cute! He loved it.

Dave also bought me this rather sparkly and unusual double wrap-around bracelet by Swarovski. This looks really pretty and such a thoughtful gift – thank you David ๐Ÿ˜Š.

David got this 850g bar of delicious Cadbury’s chocolate – this will last us a while!

Once we had opened all our presents we made our way to Dave’s uncles house for the family Christmas lunch. Bring on the food!

We had a delicious Christmas lunch with Turkey and all the trimmings. It was so tasty and I was so stuffed afterwards.

Then on to the desserts….

We had such a choice; apple crumble, profiteroles, Christmas pudding and trifle. I opted for trifle as it is one of my favourite desserts – who can’t resist the fruit, jelly, sponge, custard and cream combination?

After lunch we played games like the Tipping Point board game which brought lots of laughter and watched TV. Later afternoon Dave and I made our way to my parents to also see them on Christmas Day.

Boxing Day

After all the festivities of Christmas Day I enjoyed staying in bed until 10am on Boxing Day catching up on my sleep!

We knew the sales would start on Boxing Day and we are in need of a new sofa as our sofa was too big to fit into our house when we moved… We have been sofa-less since early November. We made our way to DFS and I had prepared myself for it to be really busy but it wasn’t. We were able to shop in relative peace.

I fell in love with the Sophia range of sofas which happened to be a new addition to DFS so not heavily discounted – typical. We are going to go for a corner sofa in a medium grey colour – should go perfectly in our new home. Yay.

Boxing Day was also spent eating lots of chocolates! Yummy!

I hope you have enjoyed the festive edition of my Weekly Round-Up. I hope you have all had a good Christmas or Holiday season. What presents did you get? I love reading and replying to your comments.
